Effect of Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (Halyomorpha halys Stål.) Infestation on the Phenolic Response and Quality of Olive Fruits (Olea europaea L.)

Olives ripen in the late autumn and represent a good source of nutrients that Halyomorpha halys uses to prepare for diapause. This is first study investigate impact H. infestation on phenolic response olive fruit quality pierced tissue damaged fruits non-pierced part ‘Istrska belica’ ‘Pendolino’ cultivars. Both total content antioxidant capacity contents significantly increased infested cultivar belica’. Total by 10.7%, while AC 7.11% 6.1% compared control. A 44 individual compounds were identified, 21 them at least one after infestation. Huge increases observed both cultivars, particularly flavones, secoiridoids, anthocyanins, flavonols fruits. The most responsive compound cultivars was oleuropein. Its 44.7% 82.6%
